The home is central. It is, should, and can be a place of safety, shelter, learning, joy, refuge, comfort, love, defense, celebration, nourishment, and healing. The home plays a key role in life. It is the hub from which our lives revolve with our family and friends. Physically what we may call home varies largely from what other people around the world call home. People come and go from their homes each day. Others rarely leave sight of home, and many search for what they may come to call home.

The human family, despite their race, religion, sex, or circumstance all possess natural rights that must be protected. Each one of us has a responsibility to use what we are in need of wisely. We should not disregard the other members of our human family through our greed, waste, pollution, or desire for power.
Many wish not to acknowledge the trouble this world is in. Some simply aren’t aware. The fact remains, that much of the world is dependent on too many unsustainable practices. Much of the world depends heavily on the U.S. Dollar, which is devaluing at an alarming pace. Many in this world of ours depend upon utility companies or governments for their power, gas, water, sewer, trash removal, communications and other needs. How dependent are you? Some people live in isolated areas where there is little food production and large populations. How will they fare, if (for a number of possible reasons) the trucks full of food stopped rolling into town?

This resource is intended to educate, uplift, prepare and to comfort. Imagine being more self reliant. Can those of you who have to pay for utilities imagine the possibility of eliminating some of those expenses? How much would you save in a year if you were no longer paying a power, or gas bill? For some that is of little interest, but for others it may mean extra money for healthy food, needed medicine, or clean water. Some will use this resource to help lift their heads above water. Others will use this resource to be prepared for natural or man made disaster. Hopefully many will use homes4survival as a tool to help educate others by sharing their knowledge as a contributor.
The idea behind homes4survival.com is to create a resource that can be used by anyone to live either more independent or more prepared or BOTH! Ideally, this website’s content will be driven by a community of contributors that care about sharing what they have learned with others who are interested in homes4survival.
